Yandex will support the largest Olympiads

Yandex announced that it will support school and student competitions. First of all, this concerns the largest Olympiads in the disciplines, the priority for the company - mathematics, programming, and linguistics. “Yandex” includes this initiative in the “large-scale program to support talented young people”, which started yesterday with awarding the winners of the 70th Moscow Mathematical Olympiad. All the winners of "Yandex" handed branded T-shirts with the words "I am a mathematician."

According to Ludmila Shvetsova, the head of the company's HR department, the program for supporting talented young people implies the “school-university-practice” chain: “If it is important for schoolchildren to decide on a profession, students need to gain knowledge that is appreciated by employers. Therefore, “Yandex” plans to attract teachers to develop relevant courses. In particular, we are already participating in the project of the Academy of Modern Programming in St. Petersburg. The company is also preparing an internship program for students. ”

In the near future, Yandex will support school and student competitions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and the Urals.
