New iPod shuffle inside

The new generation iPod shuffle is smaller than the AA battery. All player control buttons are placed on the headphone wire, so listening to music from iPod shuffle using any other headphones, not Apple, is possible, but changing the track or changing the volume of the sound is not. There are no navigation buttons on the iPod shuffle case as such. After opening the case of the player, it turned out that its processor, flash memory and RAM are placed on a single multi-layer chip. The battery of the new iPod shuffle is about the size of a 10 cent coin. Its capacity is 73 mAh.

The source also notes that with a total weight of 11 grams, 4 grams weighs the battery and the electronic components of iPod shuffle, which is less than a standard sheet of office paper. The design is fastened with just one Phillips screw. Another interesting point that marks iFixit, is that the third generation iPod shuffle NT is compatible with the second generation docking station, and the cable from the new player does not work with the previous version of iPod shuffle.
