What should be the mouse pad, while it has not yet sunk into oblivion

For several months, the thought that while the mouse as a kind of a manipulator has not completely died out under the onslaught of the finger-oriented interfaces, does not let me go, you need to strike iron. Or rather e-paper.

Already, you can make a mouse pad on the basis of e-ink, which would serve as something of an auxiliary display. At least it is banal to display a list of current affairs for a day - he would always be at hand and calloused (in the good sense of the word) eyes. You look and productivity would rise in some :)

Moreover, the properties of e-paper are ideal for such purposes: the image on the rug will be updated once, well, on the strength - twice a day, so the charge of the built-in small battery will last for several years. In addition, the gray color of e-ink will not be annoying, unlike the same digital photo frames. And most importantly - electronic paper can bend. Well, you can upload a to-do list there, say, via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, since the chips are small.

As an option, you can make such a thing based on OLED, but where is this technology yet, and where are we? :)
