17 user ideas for social network monetization

Approximately a year ago, the administration opened a topic in contact (the link was preserved, but there is nothing on it now) in which users offered their options for monetizing the project. Options that in their opinion are more acceptable than the obvious "paid entrance" and "hang all the banners."

I went over this topic and wrote down all the more or less reasonable options for myself. I tried not to add anything of my own to the list below, I just reformulated the ideas more abstractly.

1. To give users the opportunity to subscribe to advertisements of what they are interested in (interest may be, for example, to advertisements of companies), with the ability to regulate the number of messages in the feed. Add to this some kind of base unit (interesting, not interesting, subscribed - get).

2. Create a tape of ads where users could post their ads by category (selling, renting, looking for a job). Paid ads to display at the beginning of the list and / or highlight color.

3. Add paid features for users. The main thing is to think over and correctly submit the method of payment. The most convenient, common and, of course, debased payment method via sms.

4. Expand the capabilities of corporate groups formed on the social network for their growth and interaction with the audience.

5. Partnership with stores, services (including on the Internet): to link the indicator characterizing the activity / authority of the user with the size of his discount, thereby promoting the partner and increasing his sales.

6. Any constructive and encouraged activity of the audience under the sponsor's sign - creative competitions, etc.

7. Conducting surveys / studies among the audience to order. In this case, the customer pays for the result of the study, and its participants receive virtual bonuses for activity.

8. When the user first visits the site (once a day), show him the full advertising page.

9. To allow users to list in the profile which provider, cellular operator, etc. he enjoys. The paid options will be displayed in a profile with a logo and a link to the official website or an official group in this social network.

15. Cooperation with any public funds and placement of more acceptable - social - advertising.

16. Different from the default user profile designs with different decorative elements and the sponsor's logo. If the user wants to highlight his profile, he chooses any suitable skin and is happy (along with the sponsor).

17. Demonstration of banners while uploading something to the server, when you have to keep the page open and consider the upload status.
