About converting an image from VMWare to XenServer

In general, the conversion procedure is simple and straightforward. It is detailed and beautifully described on the Citrix website.

After several weeks of converting various virtual servers, I can make several additions:
1. You need to find the latest version of the utility v2xva. Usually posted on the support forum . Currently, the latest version is 1.3.4.
2. Disks copied from ESXi for some reason, they refuse to convert me. But they are converted without problems after conversion from pre-allocated to growing using the vmware-vmdiskmanager utility (from VMWare Workstation):
vmware-vdiskmanager.exe -r sourceDisk.vmdk -t 0 destinationDisk.vmdk
3. Sometimes the conversion does not want to happen just for no reason. The team helped me in such cases:
v2xva.exe /clean

With the help of the mentioned buns, at the moment, different windows XP, 2003, 2003 64bit images were successfully converted. One of these days I will try to transfer Windows 2000.
