New Mac Pro
Apple has announced a new Mac Pro. There are two models to choose from. With one quad-core Intel Xeon 3500 (Nehalem) processor with a frequency of 2.66 GHz and two Intel Xeon 5500 chips 2.26 GHz.
The initial configuration of a single-processor Mac Pro is 3 GB of RAM, 640 GB of HDD, 512-megabyte (GDDR3) NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 video card and 18-speed SuperDrive (DVD ± R DL / DVD ± RW / CD-RW). An even more sophisticated dual-processor Mac is equipped with “on start” 6 GB of RAM. The first model supports the installation of up to 8 GB of RAM, the second - up to 32 GB. In addition, the computers are equipped with a three-channel memory controller 1066 MHz DDR3 with error correction support, which, according to Apple representatives, increases the memory bandwidth by almost two and a half times. Video adapter can be changed. For an additional fee, the new Mac Pro can be equipped with a more powerful ATI Radeon HD 4870.
Mac Pro has mini DisplayPort and DVI video outputs, which provides support for both the 24-inch Apple Cinema Display monitor with LED backlight, and any other monitors equipped with a DVI video input.

The PCs are also equipped with 4 PCI Express 2.0 slots, 5 USB 2.0 slots, four FireWire 800 and Bluetooth 2.1. Apple Keyboard and Mighty Mouse are supplied.
The cost of computers, of course, is not small. The youngest model with one quad-core Intel Xeon 3500 and 3 GB of RAM will cost customers $ 2499. A Mac Pro with 6 GB of RAM and two Intel Xeon 5500 chips will cost $ 3,299. Prices are relevant for the USA.
