Right Ctrl on the EeePC 701, 900 and 901 (for Windows)

Many EeePC owners complain about the inconvenient location of the right Shift key. I don’t know how anyone, but what I lack most is the right Ctrl: neither you move the cursor by words (Ctrl + arrows), nor Ctrl + Enter, nor Ctrl + Ins (a habit since TurboPascal), to press any of these combinations have to use both hands, which is inconvenient.

Linux users can easily reassign keys via xmodmap ( how-to ). Under Windows, this can be done with the help of a small utility KeyTweak , which allows you to visually change the correspondence of keys and scan codes.

For the role of the second Ctrl 'a, AltGr, which was practically not used (by me) and was rather well located, was chosen. Then everything is simple:

After rebooting, AltGr will be perceived by the system as Right Ctrl .
