Despite the fact that the pace of sales of laptops (and netbooks) is growing by leaps and bounds, people who want to assemble their own personal computer from those components that delight the eye and pocket have not yet been translated on this planet. For those so interested in the performance and quietness of their own computer geeks, at the CeBIT opening tomorrow in Hanover (Germany), ASUS will present the concept motherboard Marine Cool.
The main difference and the so-called “killing feature” of this high-end motherboard is the substrate, on which all the usual connectors are located - it is made of microporous ceramics, which distributes and releases heat several times better than today's cards (at least said in a press release). This, among other things, will theoretically allow overclockers to further accelerate the system without the need to install a liquid or nitrogen cooling system.
If a new product attracts enough attention and will interest potential buyers (you and me), then it is possible that in the near future a large percentage of high-quality motherboards will be manufactured on a ceramic substrate using ASUS technology. ')
