Google Geo - big data update in Google Earth, underwater models in Sketh Up
Today is a big update on Russia for high resolution data. What I noticed was that the data on Perm were added, long meridional images along the Ural ridge from the west and east, and summer and winter. High-resolution data were added in the area of the oil-gas field of the YAMAO and KhMAO.
Data supplemented by a new satellite GeoEye, as written. It seemed strange that it was written about summer shots, and 2009 is highlighted - in my opinion there is at least one mistake here. But if you do not find fault with the details, then the update is wonderful. Particularly pleased with the new bridge in Perm with all the interchanges and the area of the projected railway on the eastern slope of the Urals.
Today, everything is old in Google Maps, there are no new pictures. The layer of roads has been slightly updated, but in Russia there is nothing new.
New data can be checked by clicking on the form of interest in the GE button Watch in GMaps. Since GMaps has old data, we can easily compare them. Find the differences in yourself!
