Google App Engine becomes paid

In google app engine, you can now buy additional resources . The option of free use is still maintained, but quotas for it will be reduced within 90 days. The developers promise that the free version will give you the opportunity to show up to 5 million pages per month.

The prices for hosting are set as follows (in comparison with amazon web services):

• CPU time: 10 cents / hour.
• Inbound traffic: 10 cents / GB (AWS takes 10 cents / GB)
• Outgoing traffic: 12 cents / GB (AWS takes 17 cents / GB for the first 10Tbytes. The more, the cheaper)
• Data storage: 15 cents per gigabyte per month (AWS 15 cents per gigabyte per month for the first 50TB)
• $ 0.0001 for one email.

With the introduction of new tariffs, GAE can be considered as a cloud platform for serious projects, especially if you or your team are doing a project in python.
