Microsoft has promised to fix in the new operating system Windows 7 over two thousand errors found by users during beta testing, reports Daily Tech.
In peak beta week, Microsoft received one error message from testers every fifteen seconds. In total, over 500 thousand error messages were received during beta testing, which corresponds to five hundred messages for each developer.
In addition, during testing, Microsoft recorded installation data for 10 million devices using 2.8 million unique identifiers. Over 75 percent of devices worked fine with the drivers that came with the operating system. The rest began to work either after connecting to the Windows Update service, or after downloading drivers from the manufacturer's website. ')
Windows 7 is intended to be the successor to Windows Vista. The exact date for the release of the operating system is unknown, but analysts and market participants expect it to appear either at the end of 2009 or at the beginning of 2010. ( C )
