Chetyrehpaltsevye gestures on old MacBook Pro and MacBook Air
In the new versions of unibody Macbook Pro and MacBook Air, as in previous models, the trackpad recognizes multitouch gestures, but unlike older ones, 4-finger gestures are available. New gestures allow you to control Exposé and switch between applications.
Attention! This works only for models in which there were 3-finger gestures, but not 4-finger ones.
Apple is not going to release an update so that 4-finger gestures become available in older models. But support for such gestures can be activated independently. To do this, you need to download AppleUSBMultitouchMBP.kext for MBP or AppleUSBMultitouchMBA.kext for MBA. Unpack contents and put them in / system / library / extensions. To work correctly, you need to restore file permissions, for this you need to run Disk Utility (/ applications / utilities) and do “repair permissions” for the system partition. We are overloaded and now we have gestures like in unibody models.
