Using stored procedures and triggers in CMS

I have a question that I would like to discuss with the community.

Why CMS'ki not use the "advanced" features of modern databases?

Here I first of all carry triggers and stored procedures. Maybe some CMSs are using them, but I don’t see it in wide use.

I potentially see only compatibility issues between different DBMSs, as well as between new and old versions of DBMSs.

After all, many things would be much more pleasant to do at the database level, not on php / perl / pythor / ... Or are there any other problems that prevent us from using fresh DBMS chips?

Or do I see badly?
