Russia has created a real combat robot to fight pirates
The specialists of Petrozavodsk Fire Engineering Robotics Engineering Center have developed a modification of a fire robot designed to repel attacks of pirates on ships. The development of Petrozavodsk engineers is equipped with a powerful water cannon, which is able to wash off all its crew with weapons from a pirate boat.
New security and fire robots conduct day and night video surveillance of the water area. The robot is able to ensure the safety of the vessel in automatic mode, and if necessary, the crew can independently control the actions of the robot.
Equipping each vessel will require 12 such robots - 6 from each side. The development of Petrozavodsk engineers have already become interested in the Murmansk Shipping Company, whose representatives decided to equip several long-haul vessels with security and fire robots.
