280 North , the company behind such things as
Cappuccino / Objective-J and
280 Slides , announced a new product at FOWA -
Atlas .
For those who do not know: if you describe Cappuccino in a nutshell, then this is a framework that helps you create webdvolol web applications that look like desktop ones.
For this we are offered to use Objective-J - a mixture of Objective-C and JavaScript.
The approach, of course, is very controversial - not everyone considers it the right direction for development.
Let's go back to the Atlas. In essence, Apple's Interface Builder, only converted to Cappuccino and running in a browser. Many web developers / designers were impressed. Suffice and statements that this is another file - this position is closer to me.
At present, only a screencast is available on the site, and an offer to receive updates by e-mail (addresses, by the way, are collected through Google documents)
Release is expected this summer.
