Sun Tech Days 2009 in St. Petersburg

Sun Microsystems officially announced the holding of the international annual Sun Tech Days 2009 conference in St. Petersburg from April 8 to 10, 2009. This event will be the fourth in a row in Russia. In 2009, more than 1,500 software developers, students, university professors and technical specialists are expected to attend the conference.

The program of the conference in 2009 will contain about 40 reports focused on different degrees of training of listeners. The first two days of the Sun Tech Days conference (April 8, 9) are technical reports, master classes for professionals, demonstrations and discussions at the stands of representatives of the Sun Microsystems development teams and conference sponsors; University Day (April 10) is aimed at less experienced developers and students. In addition, special reports for teachers, graduate students, and the academic community will be presented on this day. Special attention will be paid to universities, curricula, grants, joint initiatives and solutions.

The conference program includes reports on new products and updated software releases from Sun Microsystems - OpenSolaris 2008.11, JavaFX, NetBeans 6.5, xVM Server, MySQL. The peculiarity of this year is the appearance of reports by Russian developers, who are not employees of Sun Microsystems, about their own projects and experience.
