How to beat Opera Link?

Opera, as many subscribers of this blog probably know, has a very cool feature - synchronization (bookmarks, speeddial and other stuff). This is called miracle Opera Link.
I found that synchronization works on the principle of summation: what is on the client is uploaded to the server, and what is on the server is accepted by the client. This is where the ambush lies: if any unnecessary / outdated bookmarks appear on the server, then with each synchronization they merge onto the client (along with the necessary bookmarks). The same problem with speeddial cells, and if bookmarks and notes in Opera Link can somehow be deleted (one at a time and with mandatory annoying confirmation), the speeddial once saved cannot be edited.
I am sure that there is a way out of this stupid situation, but I did not succeed in finding it myself.
