One idea to monetize social networks

To write this post with the news pushed up, flashed in the reader - " Advertisers are not interested in social networks ." The question of monetization of Internet resources arises practically before each Internet project, and its decisions may depend on the fate of the project and its founders, founders. Therefore, many are trying (or require) to determine the business model in the early stages of project development. As for social networks, they have done them, they have swelled, but none of them works for profit, despite the huge audience (as far as I know). Let's try together to figure out which ways to monetize us, as users, are acceptable.

As a user with a dozen social. networks, both our and bourgeois, would like to:

That is, advertising and paid sms for me disappear. Of course, instant messages may be present, but only in those places that will not limit my ability to hide my profile and activity from prying eyes. So, I propose soc. networks the following ways to monetize for consideration:
  1. Targeted blitz polls - I think nothing terrible will happen to me if they ask a couple of questions a week on topics of my interest. I think few would be against it if they take part in research for Apple, Sony, P & G or the Kolobok knitting factory :) For companies, this is an effective way of making decisions that require statistical data.
  2. Information advertising - that is, information about upcoming events that may be of interest to me. An example would be a conference, training or film release, a vacancy. The ability to disconnect from this should of course be available.
  3. Paid account - if I really visit the service not for the sake of messages that come from old acquaintances, I am ready to pay some kind of penalty for disabling advertising and additional (not vital services)
  4. Increase additional functionality for companies (contextual advertising, vacancies, resumes, etc.). A good example is Habr.

In general, you can stop at this, and give the word to habrovchanam :)
