Final WIE 8.0 RTM compiled

On February 21, 2009, Microsoft finally built the final WIE 8.0 build with the number v8.00.6001.18691 (longhorn_ie8_rtm (wmbla) .090221-2351) , and for all localizations and for all current versions of Windows. The standalone installer is already available to partners, and will soon be available on Microsoft Connect, as well as to MSDN subscribers.



Update: Distribution will begin on February 24 at 19-00 Moscow time here . Some time after the start will be duplicated on torrents.ru, as well as on the exchangers.

Our message of February 23 caused a great resonance at Microsoft and in order to avoid possible misunderstandings we temporarily refuse to place RTM assemblies available to us in the network until their final approval by Microsoft. The approval process is multi-stage and changes are possible at each stage; we strive to provide only guaranteed assemblies. We also want to amend the previously submitted information, we do not revoke our earlier messages, but the stormy response caused by us in the Microsoft manual may hurt the case.
