On Thursday evening, the notorious social network Facebook arranged a small conference in Palo Alto (where its HQ is located) in the cozy Blue Chalk cafe - a small conference, the theme of which was Feed stories - that is, the tools by which we can notify our Facebook application users about certain changes, actions that relate directly to them.
We left Berkeley an hour before the event, parked two or three blocks from the cafe and went to the venue. Already from a distance we noticed a queue, but it turned out that just the people just started to run, and very soon we were inside. They were given plastic badges on which the people wrote the name and company with a marker, and the laces with the facebook logo, so that it could be hung on the neck.

Also put a stamp in the form of a facebook icon for those who are over 21 years old, so that you can buy alcoholic beverages. Upstairs and downstairs there were large televisions on which you could see everything that the speakers show on the main screen. There were also plates and dishes with free food (I tried the squid in batter - rings, and two flatbreads, between which is cheese). We found a place at the top, from where it was possible to see the speakers perfectly.

Soon it began with the introductory word, Facebook success, the main points in their development.
Here is the Developer Garage schedule:
- Opening remarks (Dave Maureen)
- A review of social “alerts” and feeds on Facebook (Josh Elman)
- Entry into feed forms and feed stories improvements (Ari Steinberg)
- Creating great feed stories - technical guide (Jerry Kane)
- Questions and answers

Then everyone was told about innovations in feed stories, that now there are single-line, short and full stories, as well as the ability to add action buttons to them. The founder of the company, Mark Zakerberg (or Zuckerberg, as they say in the Russian-speaking media), also looked at the light, which provoked a strong reaction from all those present.
It was also shown on the code example that widgets were created for Facebook. An example was the comment widget.
After that, people communicated with each other, with Facebook developers, got acquainted, exchanged contacts and business cards, discussed the possibility of mutual cooperation. Quite an interesting event :)
