Dell: “Freedom netbook!”

I think everyone remembers the incident with Psion, which decided to ban companies and journalists from using the word "netbook." Everyone laughed, scolded Psion and seemed to be posed. But Dell remembers. And, moreover, acts.


The company appealed to the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) with a request to deprive Psion of the rights to the netbook trademark (“netbook”). Dell claims that for six years now, Psion has not been releasing devices under the netbook brand and has no plans to do so in the future.

So we will soon find out what will come of all this.
