Yahoo did not violate privacy laws when it provided prosecutors with information about a Chinese journalist accused of spying.
Shi Tao, a former Contemporary Business Newspaper journalist in the central province of Hunan,
was sentenced last year to 10 years in prison for disclosing state secrets.

The Hong Kong commissioner said today that there is no evidence that Yahoo violated privacy laws.

The document that Ho spoke of is a copy of the judgment, which says: “Yahoo Holdings (Hong Kong) Ltd.” provided materials confirming user information. "
