Alternative browser history browsing mechanism

A couple of months ago, I had an idea how to improve browser navigation. I want to share with the community.

Browser history is displayed as a scale displaying history as a ruler - the minimum division of which is the transition from one page to another, and the maximum - the transition from one site to another. By analogy with the traditional ruler - moving from one page to another - millimeter division, and switching to another site is displayed as a centimeter division, with the difference that all centimeter divisions are the same on a traditional ruler, and in this case the size of one division depends on how many pages visited the site user. The divisions, which denote the transition to another site, are indicated by the site’s logo (if any) above and the site address below. In addition to the divisions on the scale there is a starting point - the page on which the user is now located.

Navigation on the history scale is carried out using the slider, which, when moved, changes the address and name of the page, and also displays the page content (the content is displayed instantly, using a previously prepared screenshot of the page).

The principle of filling the story is the same as with traditional navigation buttons.

As a more traditional method, using the drop-down menu, you can suggest grouping pages by sites, then it will be easier to search for the necessary page in the history and the history will cover a longer period of time.

Also, a similar scale can be successfully applied to text and graphic editors, complementing the undo and redo buttons
