New employee of the London Museum of Science

A new employee has appeared at the London Museum of Science. This is a humanoid robot named Bertie. The task of the robot is to entertain visitors with the ancient popular game "stone, scissors, paper."

This robot was built by Elumotion in collaboration with the Bristol robotic laboratory. His name - Bertie (Bert) - stands for Bristol Elumotion Robotic Torso 1. Its creation took 200 thousand pounds sterling.

To play with a robot in “rock, paper, scissors”, visitors simply wear a glove with motion sensors. However, Bertie is able not only to play. He also knows a couple of gestures and speaks in a “computer voice”.

In the museum, the robot will stay only three days. So if there is a desire to evaluate his behavior (and this is the main goal of the “appearance”), then you should hurry.

And you can just download the presentation video .
