Acoustica Mixcraft - art does not require sacrifice

In habroobzor music software among audio editors, it seemed to me that the wonderful editor Acoustica Mixcraft was not mentioned in vain, which I personally often use as a tool for convenient voice recording and guitars. However, this is not only a simple and intuitive tool for a novice musician, it is a full-fledged audio editor with broad functionality.

I will try to tell you about its main charms, because I haven’t yet found any minuses in it, but to say that they don’t exist at all, a thankless job, so let's start!

')

So, the program interface:

Nothing fundamentally new you say? Yes this is true. But Mixkraft does not pretend to innovations in the interface, it is primarily a product accessible to the average man in the street. This is evidenced even by the interface for selecting a template when creating a new project:

Project Templates

After creating a new project, a desktop full of empty tracks awaits us:

In my recordings, I had to record the guitars and the voice on the bit already made in Fruitty Loops, for this it is enough just to right-click on any track and select “Add sound”, then fumble around the computer and find the file exported from FL, Our desktop will get the first piece of music. For the convenience of visual separation of the tracks, each of them can set its own picture and color:

Next, select the Record and play / sing, listening to the already recorded bit. Recording, of course, is done from the microphone / Line In input, and not from the sound card mixer (but this can be configured in the program options). If the bit "knocks" off the bars, Mixcraft has a convenient metronome:

Since the recording of this or that instrument goes in parts, the pieces often have to be adjusted against each other. In this case, Mixkraft offers us to make a crossfade:

After recording all the tracks and placing them on the needed start positions, you need to bring the volume in order, as well as add some effects for some tracks. It is for the availability of these functions that I love this editor. Art no longer requires sacrifices - everything is quick and clear: if you need to increase the volume / send a track to one of the channels, use the track interface, if you need to do the same actions with one of the track parts, then choosing which parameter we will edit is simply a control points along the recorded track, determining the sound behavior:

Add effects:

And we get the finished composition. It's simple.

But why did I start my review with the fact that this program is in its own way universal - suitable for both a novice musician and a professional?

A beginner musician can use Mixcraft as an e-Jay, for this there is a Library with a set of loops and samples. All of them are kindly stored on the Acousctica server and, if necessary, downloaded:

Having an interface in front of it, in which a drop-down menu of the third level is a rarity, and such a library even a person far from professional music can kill an hour or two, having received as a result "his" melody.

But what about support for MIDI and other things needed by professionals? There is.

There is also a built-in loop editor:

To summarize, I want to add that I am not a great professional in the audio philosopher, I just love to compose music and share it with friends, so my requirements for someone may seem understated, but Mixcraft quickly gained my trust in its interface and help in shortening the way from "brynchenie on guitar" to "Hurray, I recorded a song!".
