GSM operators create their own instant messaging service

60 mobile operators included in GSM Associations have announced the creation of their own instant messaging service “mobile chat”. In addition, users of the service will be able to create personal pages for themselves. It is expected that the “mobile chat” will seriously compete with traditional IM protocols such as ICQ and Jabber.
