There were interesting news:
1.
"Nvidia took up the creation of an Intel-compatible processor"2.
“The first product on the Ion platform will be a nettop; NVIDIA looks again towards VIA ” which says:
"... it became known that NVIDIA is considering the possibility of cooperating with VIA Technologies in the framework of creating a new platform for low-cost PCs. Most likely, NVIDIA will take over the issue of the appropriate system logic set, and VIA Technologies - a microprocessor.
... However, the increase in interest in cooperation with VIA on the part of NVIDIA may well be due to Intel’s negative reaction to the output of the NVIDIA Ion platform. "
This is what Intel's greed leads to;)
As a result of its
not yielding , the company Intel can find another competitor on its head, in the face of a very not weak company Nvidia!
And this is despite the fact that Intel was clearly not ready for the financial crisis:
1.
"Analysts predicted a 15 percent drop in demand for processors"2.
"Intel will close five plants"3.
"Intel management failed to give a financial forecast for the quarter"4.
"Intel has cut down the prices of processors"5.
"Intel has postponed the release of a new processor"6.
"Intel's quarterly profit declined tenfold"PS: I found two interesting articles here:
