Amarok and Last.fm

If you are indifferent to the "whistles and fakes" (c) of the new KDE and use the standard Dwarf, then most likely the fact of the release of the new version of Amarok has passed unnoticed.
It is possible (although unlikely) that you also did not notice that the standard Amarok 1.4 does not work with Last.fm anymore . And what do we, the unfortunate, do in this situation?

Salvation of drowning people is the work of drowning people themselves. If the developers are not in a hurry to include a new Amarok in the repository, then we will add it there manually.
Launch the "application sources" and in the "Third-party software" section add the line

  deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/kubuntu-members-kde4/ubuntu intrepid main 

After that, in Synaptic'e we find, in addition to the usual customary Amarok, also amarok-kde4.
Feel free to choose it for installation, the smart package manager will mark the outdated version of Amarok for deletion. Now it remains to wait until 12 meters of updates are downloaded and - voila! - The new Amarok is here. Feel free to enter your login-password from lastastema and continue to enjoy your favorite music.
