I wanted to offer you for consideration a free web-application for displaying traffic jams from Yandex on the iPhone screen.
The prehistory is as follows: Yandex has a map service for displaying maps on the iPhone i-maps.yandex.ru screen. BUT, the amount of data that is pumped at the same time is about 1Mb (more details here: www.iprobki.ru/about.html ). Plus, when downloading, 68 requests are made, which extremely negatively affects the loading of already rather big content (GPRS channel features, it’s easier to download one large file than 6 small ones of the same size). I use the service every day, but on the road I almost never managed to wait for maps to load.

As a result, the cartographic substrate was removed (I remember my route by heart, because I drive it every day, and the traffic information about traffic jams has improved), loading has been optimized, which reduced the amount of downloaded data by almost 20 times (to 43 Kb) . If you need a map (for example, when traveling to an unknown area), at the bottom of the page there is a link to display the map. Twice “tapping” (two quick strikes of the finger on the screen) on the map, you can increase the size of the section without reloading the page.
