Now TN models are reigning on the market of monitors, which can be calibrated by a simple tilt of the head. But even on such monitors, not to mention * VA / IPS, you can achieve a tolerable color rendition without using hardware calibrators. The same method can be used to check the monitor gamma curves when purchasing

The essence of the method is to use the program ColorLineTest , also known as CLTest. It will take you about 30 seconds to check the gamma curves. For 5-10 minutes, you can achieve acceptable color reproduction. Detailed instructions are in the archive with the program.
