A little more about text optimization. How to prepare military documents.

On the style of military instructions, orders, reports are legends. In 1984, Voenizdat published a book entitled “Preparation and Design of Official Publications”, in which an attempt was made to deprive us of the masterpieces of military style. Nevertheless, this attempt failed - moreover, the stylistic finds of the military are widely used in modern business documents.

Aka-author carefully scanned several pages from this interesting publication. Many tips are really helpful. One thing is surprising - the language of presentation: how can one expect that a person who writes “to eliminate existing shortcomings” or “due to absenteeism” knows what “syntactically heterogeneous constructions” or “presence of a common dependent word with different controls” means.
