The first Belarusian laptop

The Belarusian Telegraph Agency ( BelTA ), referring to the company Integralteks (a subsidiary of NPO Integral), reported that the first laptop of its own assembly would soon appear in Belarus. The device, although it is ready, is still at the certification stage.

According to representatives of Integralteks, the Belarusian laptop is “a modern model, the level offered by foreign manufacturers.” In general, these words may be true. As in Belarus, only the apparatus will be assembled, and most of the components will be of foreign manufacture, Japanese and Korean.

The first model to be introduced on the market is a laptop with a 15-inch widescreen display, Celeron and Core 2 Duo processors (optional), a Wi-Fi module and a DVD-RW drive.

Unfortunately, there is no exact and more detailed data about the new / first Belarusian laptop.

"Integraltehnis", by the way, is not going to stop only on a laptop. The company is developing an “e-book” with a touchscreen display, built-in GPS module and Wi-Fi based on Windows Mobile, which will allow not only reading text, but also viewing multimedia information.

From myself I would add that I had to deal with the equipment assembled and produced in our area (I myself am from Minsk). Face it - test and write review texts based on tests. And, I note, the impressions, though not “wow” (where there is), but generally positive. At least, LCD TVs and DVD players produced by Horizont (now Horizont) once famous throughout the USSR, are not that bad. At least, when assembling, the very bourgeois component (matrix, drive, etc.) is very much not “killed”. Yes, by design, characteristics and, which is already quite bad, even the cost, Belarusian digital household goods are inferior to products of leading world brands. However, not enough to put a cross on it. However, it is more difficult to assemble a laptop than a DVD player ...
