One
Microsoft programmer, Tod Hilton (Tod Hilton), wrote a message on his
blog that he was working in the Global Foundation Services department for the last day, as he was transferred to the
Excel Services team.
Initially, the post contained information about the product, but then Hilton deleted it. However, the original content was saved in Google’s cache — here is a snippet:
This product has great potential and will be able to compete, for example, with the same Google Spreadsheets, DabbleDB, Zoho and JotSpot Tracker. Working on such a product is very interesting.
')
Then, as already mentioned, the programmer changed the content of the message by writing:
I removed from this post my personal opinion about this product, so as not to confuse anyone.
So far, nothing really is known about this service, but from the information available to us, it becomes clear that Microsoft wants to compete with companies such as
Google and Zoho. It is also clear that Microsoft is slowly beginning to master online services.
