Malware on car windows

Nowadays, malware is distributed not only by electronic methods. A rather interesting two-tier attack was recently documented by SANS experts.

At one of the parking lots in North Dakota, a piece of paper was attached to the windshields with a notice of a certain violation, and for more detailed information you had to follow the URL indicated in the text. At this address, the user is shown several pictures and offers to download the “program for viewing photos of the car at the time of violation” Under the guise of this program, malware is installed on a PC.

Experts comment that attackers manage to find more and more creative ways to spread malware. Mixing the real and the virtual worlds is one option.
