Another attempt to buy a company Runner Google
The Federal Antimonopoly Service of the Russian Federation (FAS) intends to reconsider the case of the acquisition by Google of the contextual Internet advertising service Begun. Google hopes for a favorable resolution of the conflict. According to various sources, a representative of the famous Internet company has now joined the IT Competition Development Council.
The Council for the Development of Competition in Information Technology was established in autumn 2008. The duties of this advisory body under the FAS will include stopping and preventing activities of a monopolistic nature, control over the observance of antitrust laws in the field of information technology by official bodies, and consideration of opportunities to further strengthen the legislative framework and state regulation in the field of IT.
The head of the body is Anatoly Golomolzin, deputy head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service. Among other board members, Sergey Ivanov, deputy director of the state policy department in the field of information technologies and informatization, as well as representatives of companies such as “Non-Profit Partnership“ Russoft ”,“ FCBi Moscow ”,“ Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises ”(AP KIT) , “Ai-Teco”, “BAC”, “Association of Manufacturers of Electronic Equipment and Devices”, “1C”, “Consultant Plus”, “Non-Profit Partnership of Software Product Suppliers”, “Lanit”, “Intel” , “Aichi” and many others.

It is difficult not to notice that among the listed participants there is practically no Internet company. The “Monsters of the Modern Runet” took the news about the creation of the antimonopoly council with complete indifference and did not express a desire to take part in its work. Representatives of the company only restrained praised the initiative of the FAS, but no practical steps followed.
Google Russia stated that the company’s interests would be represented on the board by various individuals, depending on the subject matter of certain hearings.
