Photo report on communication centers in different cities of Russia

Introduction

As promised earlier I publish an article about how communications centers in various cities of our country are arranged.
All sorts of crosses, introductory mines, racks with equipment, rare stuff and stuff under the cut ...
The photos were taken from different communication centers of different cities in which I was in the last 3 months.

Cable glands

All cables enter the communication node straight through the cable glands into the lead-in shaft (as it should be), however, it is often organized where the input is possible and wherever it goes.

This is exactly how input should not be organized. Here, asbestos-cement pipes (in which, if someone does not know, communication cables are laid) lie directly on the ground level, anyone passing by can split, zasrat and ruin the whole economy.
Competently organized input is always performed from the arrival (introduction) well in pipes in the ground.

Similar to the previous case, “air inlet” is also not exemplary, since any cable prokinuty air way is in harsh climatic conditions, and snot from all sides do not look nice.

These are the snot hanging between buildings, then go to the attic, violating all fire safety rules.

As a reminder, I’ll say that communication cables are laid correctly in the cable sewage system, it’s similar to storm sewer only by wells - otherwise it’s like wells, between which asbestos-cement or, more modernly, polyethylene pipes are laid. Cables are laid in the pipes.
For such sewage, communication cables fall from one node to another (in case they are not suspended in buildings)
If you look into the cable well, then with a 90% chance it will look something like this:

There is a well flooded well and a lonely clutch.

What do the rooms where all the cables come in look like?
Usually like this:

Those. we see cable lifting from the cable pit (from under the floor). Then the cables fall on the rack-frame, where, in this case, loops of stock of cables are laid out and clutches are mounted for switching to station-type cables.

The room should be equipped with fire alarm systems. And in general there is no need to walk there.

Here is an example of an introductory mine smaller in size. Cable entry is also organized from the underground. This cable on the right in a white corrugated pipe is an 8-fiber optical cable.

This is how cables should get from the cable duct to the building - i.e. in the pipes. The only thing that contradicts the norms on this photo is a large number of cables in the pipe.

On this finish, in other articles will show what happens to the communication cables after they hit the building. We will look at digital and optical crosses, distribution cabinets, PBX and PBX crosses.
