The domain zone .tel will become the world address book. At least, this is what its
Telnic regulator is
counting on . It is planned that the new zone will allow Internet users to publish their contact information directly in the DNS records.
Imagine that you want to contact your friend Yuri Synodov, which in your address book is listed as sinodov.tel. Your computer or mobile phone connects to the domain and receives all contact information that Yura decided to make available at this moment. For example, phone: sinodov.tel, skype: sinodov.tel, cell: cinodov.tel, email: sinodov.tel. Now you have to decide exactly how you want to contact him; If you select Skype, the computer launches the corresponding application, which sends a nick request to Skype on sinodov.tel.
If Yura wishes not to be disturbed, he can temporarily disable all contacts on the domain, with the exception of, say, email and voicemail.

Thus, according to the organizers, with the help of .tel, you will not need to store various contact details of friends in your memory or your computer: they will all be accessible via domains.
Registration in .tel will be available on the same principle as in many other domain zones: "who was the first to stand, the one and the sneaker".
Part of the contact information the domain owner will be able to publish not for everyone, but for groups of friends. In addition, access to information can be limited only to those contacts who already own (as in Skype, where the user can only allow him to call those who are already in his contact list).
The most difficult problem, according to analysts, will be the dissemination of the new standard. Telnic plans to solve this problem by releasing free applications that integrate .tel contacts into email client address books.
The official announcement of the start of registration is expected this spring.
