New startup wagon

Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple, cannot ignore the “call of the motherboard” and decided to plunge into business again. He said that he had a good rest and he liked to quietly observe the development of technology. Now, after two years of vacation, Steve is back to work. Vozniak's next project was the startup Fusion-io , which is engaged in designing storage systems based on flash memory chips. They make compact SSD memory modules (the size of a deck of cards) that can be inserted directly into server slots. One such module, worth $ 10,000, is not inferior to a separate storage system for $ 100,000.

At the time Apple was founded, Steve Wozniak was considered one of the most creative engineers in Silicon Valley. It was he who invented the elegant design of new personal computers, in which external beauty was combined with an effective arrangement of components. Actually, in the company Fusion-io, he will do about the same engineering affairs, but only with servers and data storage systems, and not with a PC.

Unlike past projects, Wozniak is not the founder of Fusion-io, but he joined this three-year-old startup for the position of chief engineer (chief scientist). He is already on the board of directors there and, obviously, is a co-owner.
