Bill Gates released mosquitoes to TED members

Bill Gates is definitely able to attract the attention of the public. And just a few hours ago, he did it really effectively at the TED conference. Talking about how he and his wife are fighting malaria (of course, we are talking about the Bill and Melinda charitable foundation), Bill released a mosquito into the hall. This action was accompanied by the words "not only the poor should feel it."

Unfortunately, it is not yet known whether there were malaria carriers among mosquitoes and how large the swarm was.
