Incampus.ru - a digital university campus based on a social network

The other day I came across this project, with the ambitious name "Digital Campus". Since the project is being implemented in my university, I have a closer look at it. So far, the site has a fairly idealistic description of the objectives of the project and a tour covering the main planned features, but the date for the start of beta testing has already been announced.

Probably not the best implementation option chosen - based on the social network (in particular, the interface is similar to “Vkontakte”, which is extremely unpleasant for me, which, in turn, was puzzled with Facebook), but which certainly will attract a large number of users with proper development. I don’t remember anything like this in Russian universities, if I’m mistaken, correct it (this is about similar projects, and not about forums and university portals).

It is interesting to know the opinion of Habr users - both about the viability of this site, and whether it is possible to realize the goals we have set to integrate the social network concept into the learning process.
