In August,
sazAM published the
10 most interesting startups in August . How did they continue their development?
I will write in advance that the rating was based on personal opinion.
The places that took the projects in the rating are based on their current achievements, as well as the places in brackets at the time of the opening of projects (August).
10 Place (August: 7)')

Pavlik Morozov (Allows sellers and buyers to find each other through intermediaries)
The service seems to be bent. New nothing appeared. Apparently, only 450 applications were received. Looks like Pavliki is not in fashion.
9 Place (August: 8)

Aymobilko (online media content store)
The one with the design of the very same. All the same, perhaps, nothing new has appeared. Of course, except for the goods.
8 Place (August: 2)
MetaID.ru (Personal Information Server)
The service never opened.
Daniil Bratchenko (Developer): The project was actively developing until about October. Then he fell into a somewhat “frozen” state and is now, so to speak, postponed. The team that worked on it is now developing Chat.Ru. But we plan to return to its active development in the coming months. Just now there is not enough resources for everything.
But, nevertheless, soon you will see an interesting addition for MetaID, which will be useful to many. Early to mid-February :)We continue to wait. =)
7th Place (August: 10)

Tuddu.ru (Task list without registration)
The service has clearly recruited regular users, the site is visited monthly from 500 to 1000 people. True, on the site in the header hangs the announcement of the sale of the project, Tuddu is clearly experiencing some financial difficulties.
Infuzzer (Developer): I am sure that not one ten people liked the idea of service and its implementation. This is good news.
There is no time at all on Tuddu2. And there are no funds for development. As you know, the service is absolutely free, there is no advertising on it. And there is no place to take investments in such small projects. Of course, I don’t want the project to be bent, so I hope that there will be someone who agrees to take the fate of Tuddu2 in their hands.6 Place (August: 6)

Exactly (risk-free naming service)
It seems that the well-proven project in the West in Russia also started up well. Almost 300 clients and nearly 1600 copywriters, which is quite good for such a niche. Innovations in the functional yet, but nevertheless, the project is developing.
Dmitry Davydov (Developer): The goal was to see if it even works in Russia. It turned out that it works. We do not earn much money on it, but this is solely because the project does not receive too much attention. In general, major technical changes will be introduced soon.5th Place (August: 9)
Design 911 (Labor Exchange for Designers)
Several updates have passed, new features have been added, including the Board of Shame, feedback form, displaying a list of random designer works in his profile. There was also an increase in the usability of creating a contest and the interface as a whole. It is evident that people need the service. The developers promise this spring to create a new version of the “911”, which will include many new features. We are waiting!
4th Place (August: 5)
GeoContact (Mobile location)
New programs were released, API was made, user movement history was added. Now almost 3000 users participate in the service. The project is recognized as one of the best startups in 2008 according to the magazine "Private correspondent".
At the moment, GeoContact continues to develop, and I think that soon we will hear about it!
Gale_ev (Developer): Currently, work is underway in two directions.
1. Improving navigation accuracy. Our goal is 100 meters. Now we are testing the technology for this.
2. High level open platform. On the basis of the platform, it will be possible to easily make new mapping services of real time. Recently, an agreement on this matter was signed with one of the leading social networks in Russia.3 Place (August: 4)
Aroundme (Community of Moscow)
Nearly 11,000 users, more than 15,000 photos, 12,000 places, and 20,000 reviews of places. The project has successfully launched the action-story "Wanted Moscow". The service really manages to be a good urban community, which, obviously, will constantly evolve.
Vladimir Dolgiy-Rapoport (Project Manager): The concept of the whole story is to attract users who have something to say about the city with a camera or letters with minimal costs (or without them at all).
Now we have very strong developers who started to develop the project since December.2 Place (August: 1)
Songsterr (Service for guitarists)
For half a year, the service decently added functionality. A full-fledged multi-level catalog and search has been implemented, support for guitar effects has been added, a new model for adding and correcting songs has been made.
The project continues to develop and is already preparing for monetization. =)
songsterr (Developer): We continue to develop the player, the catalog has expanded considerably. Attendance is consistently maintained at the level of 2000-3000 people per day. In the near future - the release of the widget, which allows you to insert a tab player with the song you like into a blog or other site.1 Place (August: 3)
PicForMe (Online Bookmark Service for Images)
Added social tools, new functionality, the ability to filter erotic content, add-on for firefox and much more! The project managed to gain more than 8 thousand users and 1,800 visits per day ...
And, as you can see, work on the service is ongoing:
gorp (Developer): This week there will be the possibility of albuming while beta. And we finish work on a robot that will search for duplicate photos. As a result, not all projects met expectations.
The greatest progress: Design 911 (+4 seats).
The greatest regression: MetaID (-6 places).
