“The online video market is on the verge of realizing that rutube is not only entertainment, it can be used in business, for example, to place a video shot in an apartment sold by a real estate agency. Indeed, the video can be the tool that will bring the buyer closer to the product online - this can be used in the sales of any goods: cars, electronics, furniture, anything! ”- says Oleg Volobuev, one of the Rutube founders.
His colleague, Internet producer Mikhail Paulkin, explained to Vebplanet that in this way resource owners want to “stop the flow of letters asking them to sell RuTube”. “Download the demo version of the site and use all the functionality for health”, he summarizes.
Recall recently “Vebplanet” wrote about the growing attention of Russian advertisers to the video format. One of the key market players, IMHO VI, has already launched a test video advertising campaign and plans to formulate a proposal for customers by the end of the year.

At the moment, according to estimates by Yegor Yakovlev from Amedia, the video advertising market in RuNet is 2-3% of Internet advertising in general and will amount to $ 2-3 million in 2007. According to experts, a sharp jump in demand for video content should be expected the end of the year. They attribute the rapid growth of “heavy” advertising to the ever-increasing speed of Internet access. And they predict the greatest gains to those who earlier begin to develop in this direction.
