I hadn’t been keen on numismatics before this project.
It all started with the fact that my colleague and I were offered to make a website. Man wanted for himself a personal site specializing purely in the sale of his own coins. A separate coin auction project and sale of coins through the store was made.

The project was successfully made and launched. A person received money and recruited people. And at one point, he offered us to make another separate site, but for the sale not only of his coins, but an auction among the users of the site. We liked the idea.

After discussing the details of the site, the choice of framework began development.

The choice of framework fell on codeigniter . Before this project, we already had experience with it. We immediately liked the structure and simplicity of writing the code. On Habré you can find many articles to familiarize yourself with this framework.

No documentation was written during development. Everything was done by type. Draw a design, cut and cover the code. I personally like this approach very much. Immediately you can see how the page looks and how convenient it is to handle it. If you didn't like something, everything changed instantly on the go.

All code from the very beginning was placed in SVN.

The site has been running for some time. And constantly updated with new functionality. We are trying to introduce new technologies for us that we have not previously used. For example, the service of notification of various events by means of SMS messages (the purchase of your lot, interrupting your bid in the auction, etc.)
We will be very grateful in any comments on the work with the site, errors and so on. Moreover, the first 2 months of using the site are absolutely free!
Nada say that the site is not aimed at mega profitability. The minimum fee is taken only from the sellers. All other operations are absolutely free. After the launch of the project, it became very interesting for us to use the sites. Immediately there were some old things in the cabinets that have been lying there for about 100 years and are unlikely to be needed someday.
