And it would be nice if, when browsing an offline saved web page, the browser distinguished the links that can be accessed within the saved page from external links. Then they could somehow be visually distinguished.

Developing the idea further, as applied to online, this functionality would mean browser recognition of dead links. Something like a: dead.
