Opened FOREX for game currencies

Previously, the most popular "exchanger" of game currencies on the Internet was an eBay auction, where you could not only buy currency, but also find any digital artifacts for almost any game. However, most recently, eBay banned trade in virtual artifacts (with rare exceptions). Thus, players still have the opportunity to use only exchange points: either official , which does not exist in all games, or unofficial. In any case, the exchange office took a commission for the transaction.

But the market does not tolerate emptiness. Immediately after the closing of virtual trading on eBay, websites like PlayerAuctions.com began to appear on the Internet, where players independently conducted auctions and concluded deals. Two weeks later, the Sparter exchange appeared : it is a ready-made technology platform for such peer-to-peer deals , that is, when system participants buy and sell currency directly to each other, placing bids for buying and selling. This is a very promising system that will save significant money to any bidder. An example of a similar peer-to-peer exchange in RuNet shows that it is possible to exchange one digital currency for another (for example, WMR for WMZ) there than in any exchange office, because intermediaries disappear from the transaction. In fact, this is an analogue of the FOREX market for virtual currencies, and anyone can participate in it, without limitation on the minimum transaction amount.

Currency exchange for Sparter is carried out without any exchange commission. For the sale of goods, the exchange removes 10% of the value of the goods from the seller. At the moment, the exchange is in beta and does not sell artifacts. So far, currency exchange is available only for WoW (EU and US, all realms), Everquest and Everquest 2, EVE Online.

Sparter has already received serious funding from the Bessemer Venture Partners venture fund. This suggests that investors see a good perspective in the development of the financial market for virtual currencies. From the very first day the exchange works in two languages: English and Chinese. In the English-speaking section of the bidders, there is still very little (in Chinese - much more), but there is little doubt that the situation will change very soon, as soon as the players understand all the benefits of direct trading.
