How convenient to read book prints

I printed a book on the printer; It turned out a stack of a hundred sheets. And, since the sheets are filled on all sides, when reading, I have to decide too often: turn the sheet over or put it off for good. Inconvenient.

The algorithm for calculating for each page I have about this:

- find and count the number at the bottom of the page,

- understand it even or not,

- remember that the odd corresponds to the first side of the sheet, even to the second,

- remember that if now the second side, then the third will not be and the page should be postponed; otherwise, flip.

At the same time, the cache for me does not work - during the fascinating (yes any) reading of the page it erases completely. At least there is no certainty, and without it the cache is not a cache.

As a result, I get periodic and frequent:

- squeaks with brains,

- interrupts the flow of perception

- and the frustrations of it all.

I got rid of these troubles by shading the corners of even sheets with a pencil; It was not difficult:

In fact, the verbal information was replaced by symbolic. And much more minimalist in flow: after all, in most cases it’s not important for the reader or not whether the 20th is the page or the 151th — it’s important to just “turn” or “put off”, and this is just one bit.

After observing myself in new circumstances, I found that I stopped paying attention to numbers, to keep my brain busy, to worry, and I began to read. The only thing is that this symbol (spot in the corner) is not so unambiguous and you will have to remember that it means precisely sheet laying, and not a coup. But, in any case, I like the result much more.

PS It is not good, of course, in the third millennium to perform such a mechanical work manually, so you can think about automation.
