In January, the anti-malware.ru portal (dedicated to software protection against malicious programs) conducted a self-defense test for antivirus products.
The results are pretty interesting. The new version of the Dr.Web product, Dr.Web Security Space 5.0, has passed all tests, receiving a 100% result.

The test was conducted on a specially prepared booth running VMware GSX Server. For each antivirus product, a “clean” virtual machine with Microsoft Windows XP SP3 operating system was cloned.
The following antivirus programs participated in the testing:

When installing antiviruses, the default settings recommended by the manufacturer were used and all actions recommended by the program (system reboot, update, etc.) were performed. All protection components were activated if it was not provided for automatically after installation.
