The first large-scale conference of web developers in Russia, about which we have already
written , industry experts will be able to get together in mid-April 2007. The event will be called
“Russian Internet Technologies 2007” (RIT 2007), and not WWW2006 Russia, as it was supposed.
RIT 2007 organizers plan to accept about 500 people, and currently more than 400 applications for participation have been submitted. A room is selected - a specially equipped center in Moscow. It is known that the list of sections in the published
program will not change significantly, but, as the conference initiator Oleg Bunin explained, small corrections are outlined. One of them is the removal of the CMS topic from the High Load Systems section; The topic is too extensive and deserves special attention. In addition, the current edition of the program, in contrast to the past, provides
for a greater emphasis on the area of management - management activities in the development of Internet projects.
Note that at the previous stages of the preparation of the conference, the date indicated the end of October 2006. There is an explanation to the timing: the web developers themselves are promoting the idea of RIT, and they have no experience in organizing events. “We simply underestimated the technical difficulties associated with halls, auditoriums, food, design, publications, and printed works,” Oleg Bunin told Habrahabru. “After all, at first it was all a romantic
idea of the development team.” According to him, now professional conference organizers are working on the RHT arrangement.
')
There was also an increase in participation fees, which now amounts to $ 100 for two full days (the previous price is 1000 rubles). The organizing team says that it will try to keep it within this amount, explaining that the price increase is caused by the desire to hold a conference at a good technical and organizational level.
Citing the initiators of RIT 2007, we recall that the motive for holding an industry conference is the need for webmasters in their community to “talk, argue, read reports, conduct master classes in such areas as search, mail, the creation of large Internet sites, WAP technologies , database, video technology, Ajax, etc. ". Everything - from the point of view of the developer and the developer.
