YouTubeTV is now on Wii and PS3

It seems that YouTube terribly does not like the situation - the service is stuck in its current position. In order to improve the situation a bit and take a few steps towards full-fledged online TV, soon all owners of Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation 3 consoles will be able to send browsers to www.youtube.com/tv (PC owners redirect to an ordinary website) in order to to watch videos on your big TV.

Now the service is in beta testing, but soon it will provide full streaming video to any TV connected to the game console. The section navigation will be simplified for users with joysticks in their hands, and optionally you can turn on the “auto-play” function, which will play the next video associated with the previous ones - this is how TV shows and movies are usually laid out on YouTube. Already, the TV section of the site is available in 22 geographic areas in 12 languages.

Earlier it was reported that YouTube closely cooperated with major manufacturers of televisions and home theaters in order to introduce the ability to watch videos on the most popular website in every “big room” of the planet at the plant, but the plan to seize world domination has failed - so far only few companies have decided to install a browser in the TV. Now, with such a radical offer for all owners of Wii and PS3, YouTube has the right to expect a rapid growth in the popularity of its TV section.
