Yesterday, the Vedomosti
publication published the results of a fresh study of the “connected” part of the Russian population, which was compiled by the “Public Opinion Foundation” last fall. As it turned out - over the past 5 years, not only the number of Internet users has increased by more than 2.5 times, but also the frequency of its use has increased - the daily audience has grown by as much as 5.5 times.
So, in the fall of 2003, the semi-annual Internet audience in the Russian Federation was only 12%, or 13.1 million people. Today, semiannual statistics indicate a figure of 30% of the population, or 34.4 million people only among persons aged 18 years and older, and if you capture another 16-18 year old adolescents, the figure rises to 32% of the population or almost 38 million people. According to the POF survey, over the past week, 24% of the population over 18 years of age used the Internet, which is 27.1 million people. All with the same young people (16-18), the figure rises to 29.7 million people - this, let me remind you, is a quarter of the country's population. 16% of the population uses the Internet daily in Russia: 17.7 million people over 18 or 19.2 million people over 16.
So that the picky hacker will not have any doubts in the method of interviewing the population - the category “Internet users” includes all respondents who answered the question “Did you personally use the Internet? If so, when was the last time you personally used the Internet? ”Answered“ last day ”,“ last week ”,“ last month ”,“ last three months ”,“ last six months ”. A total of 110 thousand respondents were polled.
